La Paz, the West Kirby based award-winning restaurant, would like to congratulate Steven Charlton for passing his Apprentice Chef qualifications. And he successfully completed the course in less than 12 months.
Stevens hard work and dedication to his chosen profession has been further rewarded with a nomination for the Outstanding Young Person of the Year Award category in this years Wirral Tourism Awards. So, from everyone at La Paz, well done Steven.

While on the subject of the Wirral Tourism Awards, we are pleased to report that Chef Kevin Parry is one of six finalists in this years Chef of the Year category. His place in the final was achieved through his participation in the Wirral News Chef Shine initiative, which is sponsored by the Wirral News Group. Kevin is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his brother Colin, who won the accolade of Chef of the Year in 2007 and was again a finalist last year.
La Paz, which opened in October 2006, takes great pride from the fact that a member of staff has reached the final of this category for the third year running.

The restaurant has also been shortlisted in a third category, the Most Professional Waiting-on Team, and would like thank to customers for their comments which have helped the restaurant secure a place in the final. The grand finals of the Wirral Tourism Awards take place in early November.
